Seoul ,the capital of South Korea, is located in the north-western portion of the country. It is by far South Korea's largest city and one of East Asia's financial and cultural epicenters.
Yonsei is the top private university in South Korea and has a student population of over 30,000 students including more than 1,000 international students from 20 countries. The spacious, quiet and wooded campus is located in the middle of Seoul, near centers of government, business and Korean culture. Excellent bus, rail and taxi services provide easy transportation to and from campus. Students have access to wireless Internet services, computer facilities, a specialized library, the Global Lounge, and a multi-functional space designed to be a center of cultural exchange.

Things To Do

  • Pet cute and furry cats at the Cat Cafe 고양이놀이터 Cat Playground while shopping at Myeongdong
  • Get the best vegetarian options at the fair-trade Rogpa Tea Stall and try their sweet dosa 
  • Visit Deoksugung during the evening to see it illuminated
  • Don't be afraid to look down on the Lotte Tower and stop to eat on the 31st floor 
  • You'll never get enough of the Olympic Park, whether it is to relax or check out its flower festivals or its museums 
  • Don't be afraid of the line to go to Cafe Onion and enjoy the warm weather on the rooftop space on the second floor 
  • Buy 10 brass coins at the Tongin Market to make your own lunch box and try their tteokbokki (spicy rice-cake stew) 
  • Buy crafts, clothes and homewares at the Korean designer shops in Insa-dong Maru and show your piano skills in the central rest area 
  • Don't get lost shopping at Namdaemun Market and if you get hungry have some sujebi (dough and shellfish soup). kalguksu noodles and bibimbap (mixed rice with meat and vegetables), but remember to check the opening hours which vary depending on the market's sections
  • Visit Gyeongbokgung premier palace with free guided tours at 11am, 1:30 and 3:30 pm and watch the changing of the guard at the main entrance Gwanghwamun 
  • Walk through 24.000 plants and trees at Seoullo 7017 and check out its arts exhibitions and concerts on the weekends
  • Want to go to an amusement park and then relax at a cinema multiplex while enjoying a little shopping? Head over to Lotte World (if you get a day pass ticket for Lotte World Adventure and Magic Island the Folk Museum is also included)
  • Try Seoul's famous ginseng chicken soup, samgyetang, at Tosokchon
  • Before heading back home buy traditional souvenirs for friends and family on the main road at Insadong 
  • Need a dash of culture? Check out the OR:ER. Home to a multi-story cafe home to great cakes, and amazing antique furniture. 
  • Nanta Theatre Jung-guGo, see a live silent performance at Nanta Theatre Jung-gu. This includes entertainment from comedy, martial arts and you get to participate too!
